Audrey Justine Tautou, a French actress and model, rose to fame internationally with her portrayal of a shy quirky waitress, who was awarded several awards in the romance comedy Amelie. Tautou has been compared many times with Audrey Hepburn due to her charm, beauty and acting talents. The profession of acting was not an ideal career for the pretty dark-haired girl born into a lineage with intellectuals. Her father was a dental surgeon and mother was an educator. When she was in high school, she got the acting bug, that eventually led her to become a pro actress. She attended classes in acting at Cours Florent, and soon landed a role in the production of a television film Coeur de cible. Venus Beauty Institute, where she first made an appearance in a feature film, was extremely praised. She is a daring actress and has appeared in many styles from romantic comedies such as Amelie and thrillers such as Dirty Pretty Things. Her French heritage allowed her to be a part of several French films before she made her Hollywood debut in the role of Tom Hanks. She is a highly regarded model because of her sense of style.
