Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. Her early years were shaped by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana loves tangos as well drama and opera. She started singing and studying the piano with her mom, she began her more intensive singing training at the age of 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. When she was a student, and a young professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. When she moved from Mexico to the United States around 2000, she sang for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She currently performs traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. Ana is involved in a variety of local initiatives and is a teacher and performer, because of her passion for art and music. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful for the opportunity to share her love and passion of old-fashioned Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to inspire a passion, especially among younger generations to keep this tradition alive.Viva Mexico!
